A heat pump is a strange animal for Northeast Ohio weather. First of all, the main reason why northeast Ohio homeowners choose a heat pump is economical. The price point is extremely appealing to homeowners.
What Fuel Do Heat Pumps Work Best With?
If electricity is the fuel you use to heat your home, the heat pump is a good selection, because it costs less. Your heat pump can heat your home down all the way the outside temperature reaches 30 degrees. That’s when your heat pump will need a little help from another source – be it an electrical furnace or something else.
So it is a good source of heat for your home, but in the colder months you may need a little bit of extra support.
