Can the New/Digital Ones Get Out of the Calibration?

What happens with the digital ones is that they outright fail. Their electronics will get to a point where they won’t operate properly. Their batteries became weak sometimes, which is a sign of deterioration. But, technically, they don’t fall too much out of calibration. They just quit.
